Description
The Porsche 911 GT3 R REXY AO Racing car from the Lego Technic series is roughly identical in size to the 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance Racing Car model, but has almost 500 more parts. Compared to the Porsche 911 RSR, it has a good 250 fewer parts, which is consistent with the size comparison. Features include rear-wheel steering via HOG, opening doors, independent suspension and a 6-cylinder boxer engine, which, according to Lego, has the correct firing order. No gearbox was installed, but so-called air jacks were. These are familiar from racing, where the vehicles can be completely lifted for tyre changes using compressed air pistons on the underside of the bodywork. In this model, however, this function is mechanical, but this has the advantage that the wheels can be relieved when the model is displayed in a showcase. As is often the case, there was no skimping on stickers, but this gives the model the unique appearance of a dinosaur. The bottom line is that this is another rather disappointing model, which we award 4 stars.
