Description
The 6x6 All Terrain Tow Truck from the Lego Technic series is the largest model of 2017 and its unusual colour, which you’d call “light blue”, is striking. However, according to Lego the colour is “dark azure blue”. Unfortunately, due to the colour, the parts are not compatible with other models, which is a shame. The model is very large with a total length of almost 60 cm, and it also has many functions, most of which can be remote-controlled. Unfortunately, there is also a catch here because you can either let drive the truck via remote control or use the supports and the crane, so it is also necessary to switch directly at the truck by hand. All in all, the model is very stable, so you can have fun with it. The all-wheel drive is also well solved, but it would have been nice if a servo motor had been installed for the steering. Unfortunately, the truck also lacks an independent suspension. Furthermore, the crane structure is very simple; it could or should have had an extendable boom, for example. Last but not least, the extendable supports are relatively unstable, and the gears crack relatively quickly when they are used. All in all, the model still gets four stars in the overall rating, due to the number of functions, the look and the fun that you can have with it.
